Bishop Norris D. Darden Jr.

Bishop Darden received the call to preach the gospel in December 1979 and was ordained a Baptist Minister of the gospel at the Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church of Jesup, GA in 1986. In January 1987 he was called to Pastor the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Savannah, GA, which he served as pastor for seven years. On September 10, 1993 Bishop organized the New Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church.

The Promised Land is only attainable by those who elect to make the journey to see it.  Despite the perils of the journey, those that press toward the mark of the high calling of God will see the Promised Land, obtaining those things that God promised.

Co-Pastor Joann Darden

Co-Pastor Darden has served in just about every capacity in the church. She loves the Lord with all her heart and most definitely has a call on her life. Co-Pastor spent many years resisting the call, but God has moved her into position and she is now working to accomplish those things which He has called her to do.

She serves as a Professor for the New Generation Institute of Biblical Studies & Theological Seminary, works as the Church Administrator and heads the Women’s Ministry. Her hearts desire is to know Him in the power of His resurrection and share His love with His children.

One of the most serious problems confronting the Church is the lack of trained clergy and staff. The New Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church was founded September 10, 1993 with the vision to become A Church and Christian Education Facility for the Coastal Empire. We are here to serve the community with an institution that will train men and women for the work of the ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ.
